Branding Week 1

Dec 16, 2008 18:46

Getting the branding REALLY sucked. Done via sautering iron, by Dan of Eternal Body Art.
Scrubbing with toothbrush done in the shower, no other forms of irritants.
Plan to go back later, probably when these are healing better, for further work.

Placing images under a cut, so that you don't have to see it if you don't want to.

I know. I'm going to go back later after these heal up probably, so that I can see how I heal up, and work from there :)

I'm not actually sure what I am going to do with the design anymore. Originally I wanted to do this but clearly if i cannot handle the inner circle, then there's no way I could do the rest of that filled in. I'm either just going to do the outline of the rays, or I'm going to do a completely different design.

Ah! If you really want the tattoos then the pain should be worth it :)

As gross as it does look, it isn't infected. The yellowness is just tons of lymph and plateletes (I think?) building up to form scabs, which will darken soon. But then I'm going to have to pick those scabs off, to further irritate the wound, to advocate more scar tissue for a nicely raised scar as a result.
I'm not on any medications- pain, or antibiotics. I am carefully paying attention to it, not exposing it to the outer elements, and watching for pus.

Oh wow you are hardcore indeed!
I want to get some branding done, too. But I'm pretty scared of the pain :P

Not to try to discourage you, but yes it is really painful! I'm NOT looking forward to my next appointment, haha!

Ouchies! I didn't know you were into that kind of body modification ;D

I bet it'll look awesome when its all healed, brandings seem to look cooler than most scarifications in comparison :)

P.S
Hiiii! I'm waiting till Feb to order more hurr from you <3

I've considered nearly every modification out there! Over the years I've narrowed down my interests to only a few types of modifications though, I don't think tattoos are for me :)

Sweet! I sound like an idiot, but which hurr did you order the first time around? :)
