Branding Week 1

Dec 16, 2008 18:46

Getting the branding REALLY sucked. Done via sautering iron, by Dan of Eternal Body Art.
Scrubbing with toothbrush done in the shower, no other forms of irritants.
Plan to go back later, probably when these are healing better, for further work.

Placing images under a cut, so that you don't have to see it if you don't want to.

Ouch, what's the grand finale supposed to be like? Unless that's a surprise. You're probably also now wondering; "Who the fuck are you?" and I'd have to reply with Chris or Slay on LJ, he mentioned knowing someone else from hawaii in some random conversation, so I found ya from his list--since I'm in hawaii myself.

Originally I had wanted the design to follow one of the symbols found on an ancient Sith holocron. If I had done it, I'd probably have passed out because of the pain/shock, lol. Now they're healing (I've completely stopped taking daily photos, fuck) and have formed some nice scar tissue. I'm ready to go back for more branding, but I just need to think about the design, then try to incorporate it with other work I'm planning on my legs.

Heh, Chris. Funny how he ~brings the world together~ What part are you from?

So what is it supposed to mean then, the original meaning? Will you continue with this meaning or turn it into something else? -as I'm reading on- oh I see, so what's this other work on your legs?

Yeah, I know. I'm on the island of Oahu, and yourself?

The original meaning represents passion, strength, power, victory, and freedom. :) I'm not sure yet if I'm going to continue with that, because the design is quite large, which is a ton of pain that I'll have to go through. Of course, if I really want it, then the pain will be worth it. I have a lot of time, I just need to put more thought into it. As far as my other work, I'm looking into putting a Taoist hexagram tattoo on the side of my thigh, perhaps other designs. I won't be doing the tattoos until later, probably another year or so.

Same, I live in Pearl City.
