Well i haven't updated since Feb 2 it looks like. Holy cow. That's a long time. Last deployment i'd update like everyday i think. Alot of things have changed over the past 2 and a half months. Well the last real mission i flew on 166 (which is my tail # for my aircraft, well mine and Kuykendall's) was Dec 25. From Dec 26 til Jan 9 we were Q(ucik) R(eactionary) F(orce). On Jan 9, which is when Kirk found out his Dad passed away, we flew enough hours doing training to get into the 200 Hr Inspection. So on Jan 10 we get started ( Read more... )

Man, Yesterday i had the best food since i've been here. I wish everyday was Thanksgiving. Now tonight we'll go back to curry and rice and some cold meat and potatoes. :( Man that sucks. Anyway. Well today was pretty much the same as yesterday. We carried over 30,000 lbs of stuff yesterday and today. We did three trips. And on the last one of the day we had to go to Muzzafrabad. Basically, the epicenter of the quake. Enormous landslides up there. Tons of fractured structures and houses fallen down. It's' still just so amazing how ( Read more... )

Okay so I ran my first mission today. WOW!!!! Well to those who have asked in emails and to those who want to know. We are based at Qasim, Pakistan. So, I still haven't left for Pakistan. And we found out today that a Chinook was supposedly shot at. Of course the Pakstani gov't completely denies it, but oh well.
