I just want to explain why I bought the DVD of Garden State, as Grant mercilessly called me out in my post about hating Zach Braff, may his name be purged from my memory

Who cares if I called you out on it? Keep the damn movie. And you are allowed to like Natalie Portman (post-"Leon" film career, I mean) as much as you want. Girls DO like Garden State (guys too, but we won't go into that), and you are allowed to like it on its own merits. I have the movie too, but mine was $4 after shipping from eBay. I don't hate Zach Braff, though, but I am wary whenever the writer, director, producer, and star are all the same person. And that level of pretension really showed in Garden State.
I am wary whenever the writer, director, producer, and star are all the same person. yeah, that totally never works. Citizen Kane, for instance. Woody Allen films.
I said I'm wary, not outright against it. Those are two good examples of when I like it, and I don't like all Woody Allen films. AND Woody Allen was only the producer for "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" which of itself was already filmed.

If you want to make Garden State 2, just read lj/myspace/collegehumor for a week and make the sound track from the songs people list on lj/myspace.

Andrew Seal you are a genius. One man learns, why can't the rest?
P.S. I'm a girl. I liked the movie.
