Math education
We are working on a way to teach math "ideas" to very young children and A and other children with possible delays.
The goals is to develop math concepts in verbal, hands on, visual ways while avoiding the abstraction of the mechanics. If small children can learn the ideas then as they get older the mechanics will make more sense. It also provides ( Read more... ) -

Monday.Hills .................
There are lots of hills near here. YUCK. I did 11.25 miles on my bike in a bit less than 2 hours. I needed to know that I could do the ride, I can. Force of will still works :-). I walked some of it but I did do it. Maybe over time I could get good at it. It was lovely out today. Perfect weather. Won't stay this way. I also got most of my "work ( Read more... ) -

I used J's GBS for the walk, thinking about getting a pedometer or a walking GPS. Not sure, don't want to spend anything but like the tracking ideas. hm..... -
exercise log
I have decided to use this as an exercise log. I will keep daily and total, maybe do a walk/ bike to some place :-)
Today I biked 12.4 miles, first ride in 3 years. I was nuts. I biked to WW meeting and then got really cold there, but ate. Got home, cold again.
Total bike: 12.4 miles 730 cal on gps, 1.25 hours ish.
