It was a calm early morning, Dec 9, 1945, when a large US Bomber--one of the newly built B29s-- flew over the Japanes city of Hiroshima. People ignored it. There had been many such "weather gathering" or "recon" dry runs like it in the days before so why should today be any different? The air raid alert sounded but it was, also, ignored.
