It was a calm early morning, Dec 9, 1945, when a large US Bomber--one of the newly built B29s-- flew over the Japanes city of Hiroshima.  People ignored it.  There had been many such "weather gathering" or "recon" dry runs like it in the days before so why should today be any different?  The air raid alert sounded but it was, also, ignored.  ( Read more... )

I have just successfully completed editing all my LJ entries to make them Friends Only. This LJ will NEVER be anything but "Friends" only from now on. IF you want to be friended the best thing to do is make sure I know you off of LJ or to know someone on my LJ friends list who can vouch for you.
