Much needed rambling...feel free to ingnore

Okay, so I haven't posted in six months. Sorry. So much has happened. I have been trying to read a little bit of my "Friends" posts over the last couple of weeks. It seems there is so much to catch up on, which I know can't happen 100%, but I am thankful to have this ability so that I don't seem so out of touch with everyone ( Read more... )

Thanks.

I wish I would have reached out earlier, then I might have had some time to talk to people who have had similar surgeries or experiences. I did get to speak with ginko on Thanksgiving day, but not for too long. I was in the parking lot of the hospital in upstate NY, on my way in to sit with my family while my grandfather was dying. Unfortunately now I will be tied to the bathroom for the rest of the night. I'm sure you remember, presurgery prep. If you email me your phone number, I may just call some time after my surgery.

Anyway, thank you again.

..and thank you to you, also. I so hope you are right. I am wishing with all of my wishes that these debilitating symptoms will go completely away. I may try to phone you later this evening. Is there any time that's better than the rest?

I'm so sorry about what you have been going through. The girls and I lived 14 days without electricity, during an ice storm many years ago, in our old home. It was certainly a test of strength, courage, love, and heroism. All of which I'm sure you and mjmh offered to each other in order to get through your ice storm. I hope everything is back to as normal as it can be right now.

I hope the procedure(s) go pretty well and the pain not as bad as feared. Get better soon and maybe we can look at our schedules and plan a Quiddler get-together.

Thank you all for your good vibes and wishes. It really means a lot to know that people are rooting for me. Dr. Brat, I've become a knitting fiend. I currently have four projects on different needles, and am felting a purse for oldest daughter, as I write this. I'll be bringing a linen stitch project with me to the hospital to help keep me calm and focused on something other than the main event. Thanks for teaching me this wonderful art. I don't know how I've gotten this far without it! :)

yay! Go you! I find knitting really calming. Just don't try anything that needs to be counted when you're stressing! *grin*
