The only chance we have to learn more about anything is to study it and that requires hands on experimentation. I can keep facts, numbers, figures and statistics until I turn to dust. It's of little use unless I can study something concrete.

As noninvasive as possible. I'd like to take blood, tissue samples and hair samples both during and after the curses. Before the curse would be ideal but less likely. I'm looking for similarities between the subjects during and after to determine whether there's a way the City picks subjects or whether it really is random. I'd also like to do some behavioral studies both before and after; just observe the subjects for a set amount of time.
