i havn't posted anything in a while, and this came into my head

its 12:23 in the blistering cold
and I walk down the street in the middle of the road
i decide to sit and wait for a car
no one came from the shops or the bars
as I sat there still for three long hours
just waiting and staring at the power
lines feeding two florescent lights
as I stare off into the night
