We have two teachers of Asian decent on our staff, one being the cool band instructor.  His Asian wife just had a baby (was, in fact, the New Year's baby for the local town), and a former teacher in the system is the sub.  She came in bubbly, as always, and announced, "The band teacher says, 'The baby looks just like me.'"

One student, looking at the very WASP sub, says, in total sincerity, "Why would his baby look like YOU?"

There's always at least one delightfully clueless classmate, it seems.
