I wanted to post some lovely poem or a special "Mother" story or anecdote, but it's already bedtime for me so I'll have to settle for a quick update

We had this same trouble when we lived in Georgia. We kept in touch with them for the first 4 or 5 years but every time hubby talked to her, she would harrass him about when he was moving back home. He finally had enough and didn't talk to her for two years. He eventually called her (after I told him over and over that he would have to be the man and just do it...meh) and then everything was ok more or less. Then it happened that we did move back, more due to his father's health, and stayed about 6 years but the job situation is just terrible so we moved up here. While we were there, his mom was all kinds of nice/happy/full of love. But when we told them we were moving to Dallas, she turned Ms. Hyde on us and that was that. She's just something else.
But I tell hubby exactly that...he only has one mother, no matter how psycho. :P
Good to hear you had a nice Mother's Day, trazzie! :D
Your tomatoes are already ripening??? Ours haven't even started blossoming! :Q Wow! :D
How annoying about the trouble with your mother-in-law. People can be so unreasonable. :( I think you're right to poke your hubby to get back into contact - hope he does so at some point. (((hugs)))
He'll talk to her again eventually (i think...i hope) but the problem is that he's just as stubborn as she is. *facepalm* She does have the added benefit of having some type of mental disorder (i seriously think she does). She's told me that you can't love somebody who lives so far away. And she sincerely believes that! I tried to tell her how i had family and friends all over the world that I love, but she refuses to listen. She says she just can't love someone if she can't see them. :|
So I truly believe she has a mental disorder. :(
We've had lots of warm weather as well as lots of rain...my tomatoes are loving it! I hope yours will start blossoming soon!! *hugs*
She's always been weird like that, even when Rick and I first got married. But this is the worst she's ever been. All I can do is pray for her. *shrugs* Hopefully she'll come around soon...as well as my hubby. :P

Oh, lordy.
Yes, your hubby should call her. She's the only mother he's got, even if she is acting ridiculous...
