While I was internetless for about a month or so, I fell in love with a few things! And when I got the internet back, I fell in love with a few more things!
I didn't know you liked Ristorante Paradiso~ It was introduced to me by my good friend. It was really nice.
The Art&Story podcast sounds really interesting- I'll have to give it a listen sometime. It's always interesting to me to see/hear about all the background work that goes into making comics. I feel that way about animation too. It's very cool.
Yeah! I'm actually only halfway into the show--I don't want to leave it on in the background while I work because it has very lovely visuals. Despite being what it is, I think it's well-crafted. Teo is my fave, I can't imagine why.
A&S is great, because it they don't talk about off-putting topics--I never felt offended or eye-rolled once. It's a very energetic conversation and in the early episodes about their con trips tugged on the ol' heartstrings when you could just hear how disappointed they were of the outcome. (;v;)
That show gives me a very relaxed feeling- which was probably the point. X3 I really love Luciano and Vito. (of course I love Luciano- he's the curmudgeon old man XD)
I'm listening to one of the podcasts now, and they seem to be very engaging hosts! I really like it, even if I am not a comic artist myself.
No, I don't listen to any animation podcasts, but I've always been a fiend for watching all the background videos on my Disney DVDs and listening to directors commentary.
I read the first chapter of Afterschool Charisma based solely on the fact I really like Afterschool Nightmare, and they share a common word in their titles, lol, and it was okay. I think it'll take a few more chapters to really get a feel for it, but it's a neat concept.
I got into podcasts earlier this year, but haven't found too many I really enjoy. My favorite is Super Future Friends where two girls make fun of/summarize old Legion of Superheroes comics. I'll have to give Art and Story a try. =)
woah, thanks a BUNCH for linking to ikki! i couldn't get into dorohedoro at first because of the bad quality scans, but once i read past ten pages, i couldn't stop.
I am bookmarking this post for future reference. Thank you for sharing the links to awesome things!! I'm especially interested in the Art & Story site info. :D
