so the summer is looking up compared to last week....

first the heat is suppose to break a little, which will be great because I was painting in our NON-AC paint studio all last week and I just can't deal with too many more days of 100+ heat....

speaking of painting, I actually have almost zero left to do, I'm down to one set piece that hasn't been ( Read more... )

so I'm currently working on the summer theatre here at UNCG. It's my first time designing a set that I don't have to build, which is amazing! I never thought I would enjoy giving up the building part to someone else, but it's actually really nice. I just have to worry about how I want it to look, painting, and that's all! I will be in g'burg Friday night, and Saturday night May 15-16!!!!! When is the theatre party for the graduating class? I want to come and see you all before you walk!!! 

that's right kiddies, a good massage from a hot guy who knows his stuff and was able to really loosen up my nerves in my arms after all the sewing and whatnot  that has killed  my  arms as usual.

otherwise, things are getting better, and next year/ this summer is starting to look up ^_^

so I'm still at ACTF, waiting at a coffee shop with duvall and sarah until we can take down our design boards. The great things about this conference? let's make a list:

1) getting away from greensboro for the entire week
2) getting away from technology (aka: email and tv)

first superbowl in four year that I haven't been forced to watch or work at a party
first weekend since grad school that I woke up later than 8am 
first time in my entire life that I have been going to the gym 4 times a week regularly

F YI: LJ now has a viewing feature that blocks "explicate" content. The default setting of course filters all "unsafe" pages and if you have no typed in the year you were born it won't let you view any "unsafe" material at all. So I recommend you change that cause it's really stupid (for me, since I am part of a corset community, many entries might ( Read more... )
