After I buy 5 dozen towels and enough dye to get set over the winter for the 2007 IOS towel supply, I break my hand and haven't dyed a towel yet. I can now be out of my splint while at home (and can now type 2 handed) but it is still weak and clumsy. I'm also not allowed to twist (I wring my towels out in 2 of the stages). It's been a busy summer....at one point we were running disc golf tournaments every other weekend!! Now we're down to running them about once every 3-4 weeks :) We've got 2 left. I'm playing in a tournament the next 3 weekends in a row :) I only have to help run the one this weekend....the other 2 will feel like vacations :) I'm ( Read more... )

Another successful disc golf weekend is complete :)  I was a volunteer on Saturday. It was a nice day, mostly sunny. With 102 players playing 2 rounds of 22 holes, it was a long day for the players however it seemed like most had a good time.  Sunday I got to play-yippee! Disc golf season is under way :) I've played in 2 tournaments and have done very well, for me. IOS#1 at The University of WI, Parkside I came in 1st of 2; Texas Womens Championship I placed 5 of 12 :) I'm very please....must keep practicing :)

I got a new disc in my bag: 150 gm Champion Teebird. It really flies well :) Let's see if I can keep up my ( Read more... )

The last couple of weeks have seemed like a month! I've enjoyed playing in 2 disc golf tournaments-one in Wisconsin, the other in Austin, TX.  The 5 days I spent in Austin were amazing. Great company and playing 2 courses that were new to me. I played outstanding :) It's nice to see my game coming along, as I learn to stay relaxed and focused :)

I've been away from my journal for a long time.....don't know why.

Just finished Spring break-family break, really :) Catt, the munchkin, and I spent some time exploring Chicagoland :) The highlight was Blue Man Group with dessert at HotChocolate :) Check out the menu at www.hotchocolatechicago.com and be envious :)

My baby brother came home from his tour of duty yesterday. He's been stateside for a few days to get everything situated. It was good to hear his voice yesterday :) I'm sure he's enjoying a well earned rest.

Maybe after this cold subsides, I can see him in person :)
