I'm in Brugges, Belgium and I have about 6 minutes left of the 15 minutes of internet time I purchased for 1 Euro. All the livejournal tags are in Dutch. Belgian fruit beer, chocolate, and waffles are all good!

a few minutes ago i was returning from a brief jaunt to the cornerstore, and saw a girl doubling a boy on her bike, him perched on her handlebars. they looked so very sweet & romantic, but i wanted to shout after them, "ack! that's so dangerous! be careful!" I devised a somewhat Juice-for-Life-style rice bowl for dinner. First, I made some brown rice. When it was almost done, I mixed in some kelp, pumpkin seeds, and tamari. I topped that with steamed swiss chard and broccoli, and cool quartered cucumber slices. Finally, I drizzled sesame-flax dressing over the vegetables. It was good.

I'm really enjoying Anna Karenina, those I wish it weren't such a heavy book because I'm breaking my shoulder carrying it around everywhere. I'm a sucker for those Victorian-era high society novels. I am in love with the songs of Lenni Jabour, especially one called "Les Fleurs Mecontentes." You can hear it on her website.
