baby gap, part 2

Oct 12, 2007 23:10

For weeks now, the sequel to my first 30 Rock fic--the crackified dream-baby rambling that was So I Don't Have to Dream Alone) has been languishing on my hard drive and no amount of wizened_cynic's nagging friendly encouragement has gotten me motivated to finish it. Until last night. Last night when I stayed up until 4 in the morning even though I am sick with ( Read more... )

I’m way past that young, hot mom stage, you know? Actually, I don’t think I ever had a young, hot mom stage. And can you believe she wants to name her baby Bookcase? Is that a name? And Jack is being harassed by his mother constantly--and I tried to help him fix that, but the idea of having a little Jack someday really terrifies me. That’s all I can think of when I look at him now. Carrying him to term in my womb and dying during childbirth because he’d claw his way out already wearing a suit and tie

This is so awesome I needed to change my pants afterwards.

Bravo, Worm. Bravo.

MORE. NOW.

Oh! And I wish you a quick and speedy recovery from that nasty cold. I had the flu a few days back and it made me want to die. Didn't make me want to write fic though, so admittedly you have it better off.

Why do you call her WORM? Are her origins German?

are you JEALOUS, zuzu? that i am showering someone ELSE with my affection and wit?

also, why are you so RACIST?

she is half-German I believe, and i call her worm because she is my tapeworm, and i shall call her my tapeworm, and she shall be my tapeworm.

I LOVE IT. Liz is so scattered and Gretchen is so straightforward. I just love them.

I'm sorry about the cold. Have you tried Cold-eeze drops? They doesn't taste great -- and can sometimes upset your stomach -- but I do think they work.

THANKS! I'm glad. Liz is kind of scattered. That's what I love about her, too.

Cold-Eeze! I forgot about those. I think I have some around here somewhere. I've basically been keeping a steady diet of Aleve Cold and Sinus during the day and Tylenol Sinus Nighttime when I go to bed and drinking lots of fluids. And not much else. Cold medication just kills my appetite, which is kinda counterproductive, since my body presumably needs energy to fight the cold and food=energy. Sigh. Actually, I am starting to feel better...slowly.

well, the icon isn't L/G but you can kinda pretend...

anyhoo - very nice - you sure have their voices down but I can't believe all that happened and they aren't even into her apartment yet...

looking forward to more

and get better soon so we can get more!

hehehe

I think the icon pertains anyway. I love that icon.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Sorry it's moving so slowly, but I believe in drawing out the anticipation as much as possible; besides, once characters get together I sort of lose interest (no comment on how this affects me in real life). ;-) Also, Liz seems like one of those people where a lot can happen and nothing happens at the same time, she'll over-process everything and nothing actually ever changes.

I am feeling a bit better today, thanks!

Thanks - I haven't made icons in ages - hence no L/G icons... boohoo

and I agree about the draw out and it's not so much about wanting it to be over but REALLY wanting to see what happens... I am an impatient one

glad you're doing better - sick sucks (and not in a good way!)

Well, you know what they say about patience being a virtue... ;-)
I'll try to continue soon! Really and for true.

I loved this so much it almost hurt, especially the part where she thinks about having Jack's baby and then the rant blaming Gretchen. Please, please continue it.

Thank you so much. I think Liz might really somewhere, in her heart of hearts, blame Gretchen for all her man troubles (or blame her for not being able to somehow assuage them),even if Fey and NBC don't see fit to show us that particular internal debate. ;)

These were both great - couldn't see a reply link on the first one, so this is doing double duty - I loved how Liz came up with the idea of Jack implanting little bio-chips in his employees (it would explain a lot) and Kenneth with a gun. I hope you continue the series.
