I've been having a whole bunch of Braxton-Hickses since yesterday...or at least I think that's what they are, since last pregnancy I didn't really feel them at all so I'm not sure what they're supposed to feel like. They only last for, like, five seconds at a time, so I don't know

ah, good old braxton hicks. they can be hard contractions but do not progress and last several seconds. since you are at the end --when in doubt ask the MD. with both boys i had them for at least 50% of my pregnancy. it would be funny looking if the baby had moved into certain positions that makes you look lopsided. since i worked to the end with michael (in an ob gyn office) everyone new when i was having one. towards the end i stopped buying new uniforms and they were snug. there was this big belly in a contraction leaning towards the right side or left side.
