Egged finally did something I like!
I've complained on here about Egged (the main bus company here) a bunch of times, so I figured it's only fair to post that they've done something right. They raised their prices on January 1st, but the new tickets also serve as unlimited transfer tickets. It used to be that ₪5.90 got you one ride, and if you wanted a transfer, you had to pay ₪6.30 ( Read more... ) -

What with the iPhone and the iPod Touch becoming available in Israel, a whole bunch of applications that are useful to Israelis have recently shown up in the app store.
I haven't used all of these, so I can't vouch for most of them, but here's an incomplete listing of apps that Israelis might find useful:

I need more people on my friends list who read comic books. Does anyone secretly read them or want to start?
I just got into Daredevil (volume 2), and I can't think of any comic book I've ever liked better.

It's like they don't realize people got dressed in the morning knowing what season it is...
I was actually looking forward to having my last trimester be during the winter, but I totally forgot that in Israel, buses and stores and everywhere set their heating alllllll the way up during the winter so that I can't actually go inside anywhere without melting into a faint, even after taking off my coat. Ugh.
Run-on sentences are my friends. -
Peppermint coffee
FYI: Peppermint essential oil in your coffee is delicious, but one drop per cup of coffee is way too much, so you have to make a whole bunch (like, a whole bunch) of coffee at a time and save the rest for later.
