The holidays have quite exhausted me - I'm glad that Epiphany is just around the corner so the tree might finally come down and life get back to normal. That said though, it was an excellent holiday not least because of:

Could have been a little embarrassing in front of the mother-in-law, but... yes. XD I love chestnuts and it seems Christmas is the only time I ever see them in stores.

I made a second ganache with some white chocolate and blended it with the dark chocolate ganache of the main frosting to make paler portions to decorate the ends. It was a bit of a fussy step (I only needed about two tablespoons' worth of the lighter color), but it meant more leftover ganache to eat, so I'd probably do it again. XD

Thank you! The food was yummy and the fic was... well, it was fun writing AB fic when my mind was so constantly on food. Why there was no cake in the fic is beyond me. XD
