Wow. That was intense. O_O And D: I feel for Steve and I can definitely understand his feelings here (because you wrote it so well), but I don't think he could've been more of an asshole if he'd punched Danny out in Mary's hospital room. I'm looking forward to reading more of this and finding out how they can become friends.

I'm sorry! Coming back through this post with late replies because I'm terrible and life has been very busy as of late. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! And I love hearing your perspective on Steve's behavior! He did hurt Danny rather a lot, didn't he? I think Danny startled him, and he lashed out in surprise and hurt. But Danny was being an incredibly good guy through the whole thing, and Steve just can't quite see that yet! Don't worry, though, the reconciliation will come in time :)
