I've almost finished reading Brave New World. It's been on my huge must-read list for too long, and seemed like a good follow-up to Animal Farm; I had forgotten how much ass Animal Farm kicks, and I guess reading about another dystopian future is my way of extending the pleasure. Or something like that.

Have you ever heard the song 'Hug Me' by Meg & Dia? It was inspired by that book and it's a really beautiful song! I haven't read the book yet but my reading list is insanely long too so I'm not really surprised. I think I had 500 on it when I finally stopped adding books because it was becoming too depressing.
I started reading Laurell K Hamilton's work when I was about 15 and I find a lot of similarities between her inability to write a realistic and well-thought out story and Stephanie Meyer's. I think because that I can honestly say if I were a teenager now and started reading the Twilight series, I'd be just as disgusted.
