Mom recently bought an iPhone and chose Eugene to be her tech support. Today I giggled as I overheard a convo between them.

Mom: what's this? Oh must key in password and verify?
Eug: yah...

my mom asked me, "eh sometimes the picture on the phone turns to the side like that" she tilts the phone sideways, "how do i turn it back har?"

I took her phone and tilt it right side up again.

Well to be fair, none of the phones before this did that, so how was she know to right? :)

God forbid my mum ever gets a smartphone....  Thank God my dad is still quite alright with his iPhone, except that whenever he has to type in hanyu pinyin, he keeps asking me how to spell it! -_-

she wanted to use a cotton bud until Eug pointed out that it would be very unglam to pick up her phone, say 'hello hello' and then have a cotton bud fall out from the case. at that point, she begrudgingly said, 'ok lah, i'll cut my nail'. mind you, she cut ONE nail, cus that's all you need to type.
