I'M GOING TO JAPAN!!!!!!!

I made a pot roast today. 12 hours in a crock pot. I smell like food now. And somehow, my pot roast tastes vaguely cajun...

Vacation just isn't long enough. So I totally forgot exactly how hot it is in Louisiana. Just like any other outsider, I stepped out of the airport and ran into the brick wall that is southern heat and humidity. Other than that, Houma was great!! Whee! I'm in Houma again! Only for a little while though. I go back on Saturday. In the meantime I'm gonna eat all the food that I can't find up north. Like crawfish. Oh, Crawfish. I fell on my face snowboarding. My face now looks like someone took a bat to it. I'd post a picture, but it looks too messed up. I'm ok, I just look really funny.

It's so cold here! The weather people said four below zero on Friday with a wind chill of thirty below... so cold! On the upside, I go home in a week! I haven't been home since I moved to NY so this will be a good trip. Plus, I'm going home for Chinese New Year, so of course, tons of great food! I'm so excited for this. And I now snowboard.
