Four years ago I was protesting the inauguration.  I got permission from Dr. Evans and Dr. Barclay to miss class and I drove out to DC with a bunch of other K kids in uncomfortable vans to freeze our butts off and symbolically "turn out backs on Bush" when the motorcade drove past.  I was verbally harassed and shoved by angry Bush supporters.  ( Read more... )

As much as I've been expecting some kind of impending doom, things are going pretty well.  When Dave and I flew to Michigan for a week, our flights were not significantly delayed, our luggage was not lost or stolen, and Christmas was swell.  I got to see some old friends, my family were all doing well, and I got some neat presents (cool teaching ( Read more... )

Today was my last day of student teaching.  Wow.  On the bright side, from now on whenever I do the stuff I've been doing for 4 months, I'll be getting paid.  Excellent.
