Kyle and I went to Boston last weekend, and although it was supposed to be a work weekend for Kyle, taking all sorts of secret project photos, it seemed an awful lot like fun to me. Because I procrastinate, I have failed to pass along the information for our friend Kelley Caspari's Kickstarter Project, which is pretty fabulous. She's a very talented sculptor living in the PACNW and she has created two busts with two characters each, flip sides of the same story -- one a fairy tale, the other a Greek Myth. Crazyversary!
Today's our anniversary! It's not sunny, like it was two years ago, and I'm not about to get dental work, like I was two years ago (although the house is undergoing some cosmetic dental surgery at the moment), but I'm just as entertained by my spouse as I was then!

play reading
I'm involved in two new play readings this month, the first of which is tomorrow night at 7:00pm at Curio Theatre, on the corner of 48th and Baltimore Avenue. It's a play by local West Philadelphian Ilana Vine and is called "Quiet, Suburban." I play a thwarted suburban mother whose dreams are filtered through the lives of her two daughters. Opening Night
Tomorrow night is opening night for "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," and I think we set a record for how quickly it sold out! I even failed to put Kyle on the list in time, so he may be camped out on the front steps waiting for the post-show party ( Read more... ) -
Serendipity
My friend who is an exceptionally talented actress, Rebekah, moved to San Diego a few years ago, and I have missed her sorely! She lights up the stage when she enters the scene.
How serendipitous that Kyle's headshot session today happened to be in San Diego and Rebekah happened to be there and they happened to create this lovely photo!

Valya in Philadelphia!
Our dear friend, Valya Dudycz Lupescu, is reading from her novel The Silence of Trees this afternoon at the Ukrainian League of Philadelphia, which is on the corner of 23rd and Brown in the Art Museum District.
