I can run again!
I just saw the orthopedic shoulder surgeon for my 11 weeks post-op checkup. He was happy with my progress and gave me the go ahead to run! Yay! My fitness level is in for a rude awakening I think. Shoulder update - 8 weeks post-op
It's been 8 weeks today since my shoulder surgery (and the birth of my nephew, but that's another story). I haven't posted about it since day 10, and shubbe has politely asked for an update, so here it is, behind a cut for those who don't want to know.

IBM Health Fair 2008
Given that my exercise for the last 7 weeks has consisted of walking and shoulder rehab, I wondered what my body composition would be this year. My weight has been fine since the shoulder surgery. Coyotes do love valuables

1st post-op doc visit
Saw the doc today and found out the real scoop on what he found & fixed. He did move the bicep tendon and fixed the slap tear, plus cleaned up a fraying subscap tendon. I did it. Had the shoulder surgery one week ago today. I haven't had the patience since then to post much one handed. Surgery day went quickly. Reported as told at 5:45am. Guess I'll go through with it
I'm running out of time to back out. I'm scheduled for arthroscopic shoulder surgery tomorrow morning at 7am. I maxed out on all the worrying last week and I'm remarkably calm about it now. Taking the plunge
Last week I agreed to pencil in shoulder surgery for Wed Sept 24, and it looks like I'm going to go through with it. After reading way too much information on the subject, I am preparing myself. What to do
Had a second opinion appointment today about my shoulder. This doc took me more seriously than the last one. He asked me about my history, performed an exam, looked at the MRI, took X-ray's of his own. He saw what he thinks is a labral tear and separation of the bicep tendon on the MRI.
