I may be wrong, but I do think that the thyroid has something to do with mood, so it isn't surprising -- to me, anyway -- that his mood has been altered. I could see where it would be difficult to talk to him about this -- so that he would talk to his doctor about the situation. (Maybe he can be given something to help?)

I am glad that your sister is coming to live closer to you. That will help.

People with thyroid problems are the most difficult people to live with, believe me I know, my ex had those problems too. They have mood swings they can't do anything about

About hubby--my suspicion is that he sees you spreading your wings and is afraid you can live without him and might leave him. I think he's feeling insecure, and in his dumb male way, is trying to control you so he can keep you. Hang in there.
