All results came back normal and GREAT!  YAY!  Such a relief.

Christmas for us was good.  We drove to Austin to visit my parents at their new house by Lake Travis.  It's a good house, newly remodeled (some by the previous owners and some by them), but there is a terribly impractical driveway that I think is dangerous.  Hmmm.  It was a good visit, ( Read more... )

Very worrisome about your father's outbursts, and then not remembering. Let us know how it checks out.

Glad the AFP results were all normal.

Thanks!
It is concerning, but I have a feeling it really is related to his medication.

If your hips are bothering you, you might want to get a pregnancy pillow, like the snoogle, or a body pillow, and sleep with a leg under it and one on top.

I've tried them and they're not working, just seem to get in the way and make me feel all uncomfy in a whole new way :(

I hope your dad's doctor is able to adjust his meds so that his temper evens out. That must be awful for all involved!

I don't know if it's your thing, but we bought a very firm slimline mattress and a 4" memory foam mattress topper, and it's just as nice as our friends' memory foam mattress (but about 1/3 the cost)!

Sounds like a good Christmas - minus your dad's outbursts :( Hope he gets to the Dr. ASAP!

For the hips - I HIGHLY recommend doing some "yoga" stretches. They help open your hips - which is good for the pain and for preparing them for birth.

I try to do these every night and they really do help:

Thank you! I did them, and I still had TONS OF pain, but just doing them helped to stretch me out. You may have motivated me to do more than just sit on my ass.
