The built in bootable-USB thingie isn't fussy about which .iso it uses, so I tried again with the eeebuntu I downloaded the other day

Heh. It seems a tad excessive to have to run a whole nother distro just to make a USB stick bootable, though ;-) (I had already failed at several other methods by that stage.)
