I am happy! Let the next chapter begin.

I have officially lived one-quarter century (and a day) and I am happy!

Today is October 15 and the first day it snowed in New Jersey.

I wish I knew how to upload a picture to lj to show just how much covered the cars. It's really just a dusting, but enough to get a little excited about. Makes me wonder if it's a sign of a very wet, cold, and long winter to come.

Anyway, back to preparing dinner.

The plumber managed to fix the bathtub trap. Best part is, it doesn't leak! I'm so happy!

Today they made a lot of progress. The new window is in and it looks great! You can actually see the yard now without standing on your toes and peering. They did a beautiful job. The header and footer looks very sturdy - there is no way the weight of the house ( Read more... )

So the saga of broken shit continues. I really have no problem leaving these guys in my house all day to work, but they really need to stop breaking my house!

Yesterday, the electrician accidently drilled through the 100 year old lead drain trap under the old bath tub. Not a big deal, just don't use the sink or tub and they'll fix it in the morning ( Read more... )

They started work on our kitchen today!

Jason and I spent all weekend getting ready for today. Friday night we spent cleaning up the basement. By cleaning, I mean Jason made stacks out of the mess he created.
