For posterity's sake, and my future memories of the London bombings, I really should record more than the immediate aftermath of yesterday's events. Yesterday's post was written when information was very scarce, and it took a while for things to settle down, check that everyone was ok, no more bombs were going off. "I know that you personally do not fear to give your own life in exchange for taking others. That is why you are so dangerous. But I know you do fear that you will fail in your long-term objective to destroy our free society. I can show you why you will fail. In the days that follow, look at our airports, look at our seaports and look at our railway stations. And even after your cowardly attack you will see that people from the rest of Britain, people from around the world will arrive in London to become Londoners, to fulfil their dreams and achieve their potential. They choose to come to London as many have come before because they come to be free. They come to live the life they choose, they come to be themselves. They flee you, because you tell them how they should live."

Dude.

You guys have the most AWESOME mayor.

*sooooooooo jealous*

OCF was great! Praise God! At first I was afraid it would just be me, Jillian, Constance and Melvin, but then Aaron, Mayee, Steven, Kelvin and Marissa came and filled my living room. Sang, shared, prayed, read. I personally learned quite a bit, and of course cannot presume to say everyone felt the same as I did... but I hope they did too. :) We went out for dinner after. Jillian and Constance were wonderful. And everybody wants it to be at my place next week as well, even if they were a teeny weeny bit squashed this week - can you make a note of that for OCF email next week please? :)

to be honest, everyone who wants to use the tube on weekends will be used to distruption of the tube service...

so londoners are used to it.
