Ah, thanks for sharing about Hillsongs. I have much the same sentiments about Planetshakers over here that you initially had about Hillsongs, but I too want to be flexible.. mebbe I'll give it another shot sometime, mebbe.

correct lah, open heart open mind, more malleable for God to shape into what he sees as best. that one sure make no mistakes. (some things best express singlish wise, more sui4!)

I too have much to learn about flexibility, detours and reroutes. Not very good at being flexible - get all bent out of shape when things don't fit my plans. Does it get easier though? Mmm.

The metaphor I like best recently is the upward spiral: we WILL keep revisiting our own obstacles ('I have to learn about flexibility/generousity/patience AGAIN??!'), but each time we overcome them, we spiral upwards closer to God. It's never easier per se because the challenges may be different, but as we gain altitude, I like to think that because we have more good things we can look back/down upon to give us a frame of reference for the blessings that have come from obedience and will continue to come when we get past this stumbling block, it does become easier to overcome. :)
