I think 11 days to payday would be the most looked forward to event for most people... especially after checking one's bank balance.

I'm not most people. :P And I don't earn enough to see a huge jump in my bank balance anyway, nor do I spend enough to see it sink to an uncomfortable level, so all is swell still.
