not of a white Christmas but of all of the food I'm going to eat in California next week! Here's my list to work thru so far:

  • Fish tacos.
  • Hash browns. The stringy kind that is flat, GBD (Golden, Brown & Delicious) on the outside and not found in NYC as far as I know.
  • In & Out Burger. Protein Style, Animal Style, of course.
  • Shabu Shabu

Sure, it would be a eating and drinking adventure.

I'd love to come out to Queens for some eats with you, we might be able to convince Ellie to venture out.

Sounds good. But you know, there's dim sum to be had right here, on this coast, in this city. If you're interested, we ca put together an outing when you come back.

(When my kids were little, they loved chicken feet. Nice and chewy and a little kid can pick them up with his hands.)

Whoa. My Mom had a policy of "try it once before you say you don't like it", but even my Mom couldn't bring herself to eat chicken feet. Heh.

Dim Sum sounds good. Maybe we can get the kids to meet up too.

Oh, you don't have to eat the chicken feet, and I certainly won't, but to kids, the kidea of feet is a funny one, and a thing you can pick up with your sticky fingers and chew at is even better. Best of all, they're cheap enough that if Andy doesn't like them, well, no harm done.

Let us know when you're back and we'll figure out the timing.

I like my In-n-Out burgers the same way! Which reminds me, I should put an order in with my brother to bring some when he flies to the Midwest for the holidays...

I think I'm going to try my fries "Animal style" this time. Don't know if that's overkill, but I'm up for it.

You forgot onion dip. (Unless you get that out in NY, but last time I had it, it just wasn't the same.)

Suggestions:
1. El Tepayec
2. Dinah's
3. Tito's Tacos

I used to go to a Tito's in OC. YUM.

I think they have onion dip here in NYC. You mean like the stuff you make for parties?

Farmer's Market? karmakazesal December 19 2008, 22:04:11 UTC
Do you want to go on a sampler walk at the farmer's market. I'll buy you a Carmel apple again.

Another request: NOT DENNY'S.
