So I went to start up my baby an hour ago, and a secure screen similar to the one that pops up after it's been asleep came up. Then nothing. I got my mum to come and help me with it and apparently it was acting as if it was locked, which I would never ever have done. I thought I'd shut it down normally. I did it! In spite of real-life turmoil, in spite of falling behind twice, and thanks to God and two 5000-word days (yes, I did write that much in one day more than once. As I have mentioned to you before, I love fairytales. My favourites are those involving enchantments, and I read them for the story, not whatever it was originally intended to mean. So I downloaded some more synthesisers for use with NVDA over the week-end. It's interesting to have these as alternatives, but even with the weird pronunciation glitch, my default synth is still eSpeak. I'm used to it, and besides, they're that little bit closer to pronouncing Bakura correctly! At least the second syllable has more emphasis. They ( Read more... )
