Ticketmaster = Fee DisasterkaligangesSeptember 26 2007, 20:18:27 UTC
Yes, I paid something like $125 for 2 Bjork tix in ATL which were originally 55 each? or 50 each? Anyhow, there was no way to get to the venue before the show for us.
I like etix.com, though they charge a fee for the order as well, it's not nearly as ass-raping as Ticketmaster's (a $14 ticket on etix.com cost $17.43, with the option to print for free - since that is their delivery method).
The venue is still the best place to get no-fee, hassle-free tickets - if you live in the same town, of course; plus, you're supporting the venue *directly* by doing so.
Sorry you had a crap experience trying to do a nice thing for someone.
to buy kings of leon tix thru ticketmonster, there were more than $10 in charges tacked onto the original price. to buy over the phone from the ryman box office, $1. tough choice right?
but enough ppl pay those charges w/o realizing it, or feel there is no other option, that tickemonster is making a killing on "service" and "convenience" charges
is there a theory of capitalism which says the ignorant will pay?

The Nashville Roller Girls have used Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/) in the past for their bout tickets.
