I had to give him credit, at least he wasn't whimpering in a corner, crying over his slayer bitch. He still had some fight in him, despite it all. I imagined he must have been terribly disoriented at this point

It'd been a while since my rather long winded outburst, but eventually I decided that no one here really gave a damn what I was sayin' and chose to just pace back and forth in front of the glass, glaring at everyone who passed by.

"Well well, it seems we have awakened right on schedule, yes? Good, good. I'm glad. That means I won't have to waste any more time on you than anticipated."

At the sound of an annoyingly familiar voice, I spun around to face the bastard himself. Looking him up and down, I raised one eyebrow at the suit he was wearing.

"What's with that get-up? Tryin' to impress someone, Warren? 'Cause, hate to break it to you, but you're not exactly my type."

My eyes shifted about the room, hoping to find whatever door Warren had entered my cell through, but wherever it had been, it seemed to have completely sealed up by now. I'd just have to find another way out of there then. Shouldn't be too hard if Warren had gotten in.

"I have to admit Spike, I'm impressed. It's nice to know that I haven't completely broken you...

I paused in my speaking as he took a step towards me, struggling not to laugh. After a moment, I gave up and allowed myself to chuckle just a bit in his direction. It was almost cute, how indignant he was.

And then, miraculously, that scrawny little nerd had a hand around my throat and was holding me clear off the bloody floor. While I didn't exactly have to worry much about not breathing, I didn't care much to find myself in such a helpless position. But... Warren?! I managed a few strangled sounds, but not much else. When the TV sparked to life, I watched with a sort of detached horror. Warren? Ruling the world? Overpowering me? How the blazes did that ever happen? It seemed like a joke, like whenever
