LAZAR HOUSE LAMENTATIONS...

Pon my sainted aunt, here I am once more, into the breach in fine fashion. I note with some sadness that some more of my illustrious companions have been crossed out in true Lj fashion, others have taken my short absence to abandon me without further ado, faithless creatures and gregarious butterflies that they are ( Read more... )

I regret to tell you sir/madam that some of your LJ friends are but travelling Grifters, and pricey too.We have an unfortunate influx of Americans here now who have no medical insurance in their country of origen, but have worked out what a top little welfare and medicare system system we have here! Things really are as gruesome in the US as we are led to believe. Your guess who! Beware! And don't be crybaby either! Those photos are at least 8 yrs old! Bon nuit!

I had long suspected as such, those mericans will do just about anything to escape the dire ghettos they hail from and drift/grift to the lucky country.

As for the last paragraph of yours, I cannot reasonably complain for my photo is twelve years old.

I'm interested in the height of waterfalls, I was told Wollomombi was once the highest in Australia due to a different method of measurement, it is now apparently the second highest.
There seem to be three contenders claiming to be the highest, how is this possible? if Wollomombi (220m) and Falls creek (750m) how could Wollomombi have ever been considered the highest.
How can there be three contenders, surely the matter is easily settled?
But what I really want to know is...What are the differing methods of measuring the height of a waterfall.
All I can say at this point is that you did ask...

Perhaps the World Waterfall Database might have the answer for you: http://www.world-waterfalls.com/home.php

I certainly hope so as I have been wanting to know this exact data for many years now! Carry on, Troll. Carry on.

'The heights listed may reflect the inclusion of non-vertical falls, cascades and steep streambed, which, alone, would not be considered a noteworthy waterfall by most. When situated between, above or below a major waterfall, it is, however, common that such features are included in the waterfall's overall height. Most of the heights on this list are accurate to our knowledge, however, several are estimates based on various sources, and may or may not be accurate. The waterfalls on this list, the accompanying data and the order in which they are presented may change without notice at any given time.'

A most problematic and controversial subject as you can see,
