Alan/Tron fluff or slashtouchmygunbladeJune 2 2011, 20:40:55 UTC
Because there is not enough Alan/Tron. You can choose either one. FLUFF: Tron's memories of when he was Rinzler frighten him to the point where he has a mental breakdown and Alan comforts him before the security program kills himself. SLASH: Alan, Tron and alcohol. Tron has no clue about sex and Alan has to play teacher. Alan is a tease in my head and I don't know why, but I like seeing Tron beg.

Might run with the fluff as a follow-up to the disillusionment prompt. And they're all slowly congealing into some novel-length monstrosity in my head where ALL the cast has to confront the mistakes made and consequences of them.

((Note - references some of 2.0's canon and will probably be part of a larger story. However, I'm feeling spectacularly shitty tonight. July 4 was when my dad had his fatal heart attack. And I have a horrible feeling that part of my Legacy addiction is my brain working through the loss. So pardon the bathos

A hairpin turn to the left, then a slight veer to the right. Sam convinced them all to take one last chance into the digital world, hoping to convince them of seeing the same beauty his father saw. Sam wanted to repair the world, Alan wanted it gone. Of course, Alan kept it all quiet from the others. He wanted to protect them. Secrets had a bad way of coming out, though. Worse was when they came out after he realized what a horrible mistake he was making.
God, what have I done?
His resolve had begun to crack the instant he saw his face and Lora's (minus twenty years) on a pair of Programs. Yori was a "broker-no-bull" type who seemed to run on little but sheer determination with a lot of harsh words for neglectful "Users." The equivalent of a thousand years of hell probably would have turned Lora into much the same. Tron was a much more...uncomfortable puzzle. He thought he knew his Program, but nothing could prepare him for this entity that wore his face and carried himself like a career Marine. Did Kevin really think he was

Mini-Fill "Forgiven" (Part 3)allronix1July 5 2011, 10:56:05 UTC
The ruins of the Arena were just like they were last time. Alan tried the search the maze of twisted passages through the complex, but he could only run so fast. He was in good shape for sixty, but he was still sixty.
The first room he checked was the old “re-purposing room.” Nothing was there except the crumbling remains of the old torture device. He remembered the last time he was here, getting hit with the truth.
"A thousand cycles, Alan-1. Almost twenty of your years I spent trapped in the form of a monster; unable to stop myself, unable to fight back When I was strapped to that rack, bleeding data and in pain, you were the last thing I forgot. I screamed for you until my voice was gone."
Alan shook his head. No time to get caught up in despair. Where could he find...? That's right. Despite it all, he was still a User here.
Tron: Location Query...Instead of a dry digital readout, Alan was hit with the vision of Tron standing in what looked to be the remains of Clu's private skybox on the arena's upper deck

The words were hard to summon. Alan had never been good with flowery expressions. “I coded you into existence, but I could not return the love you had for me because all I knew of your existence were lines of code flickering on a monochrome screen. That night, back in 1982? Lora and I fought through the security system to reach a terminal and update your code. Master Control had rigged the whole building to try and kill us. I'd never been more terrified in my life up to that point. I'm not a fighter, not really. I'm just a programmer who got way in over his head. Maybe you had an image of me in your mind that was better than that, and I'm sorry to ruin it

“Tron, no.”
The stare was half question and half challenge. “Will you order me not to upload it?”
Of course. He can't refuse a direct order, especially if it's from me. “I can't order you. I don't have that right no more than I had the right to design that horrible protocol in the first place. I want to put an end to Pax. I want you and your world to live.”
No reply, and no move on the part of the Program. Alan closed the gap between them, grabbing Tron's shoulders.
“And I am so sorry for everything you went through. I had no idea...I wish I did. You shouldn't have suffered like that, and it wasn't your fault. Had I known...” He blinked, trying to ignore the sting in his eyes. “What you represent scares me, but I can't deny it anymore. You are life - real and beautiful and mine. I can't order you, and I can't alter the past, but I can beg you not to destroy yourself. Give me the chance to know you and to help you, to be the creator - the father - I should be for you.” It was hard to talk. His throat felt like someone was

Thanks. My dad was a classic example of everything you shouldn't do with your health - including illegal drugs, smoking, and hard partying. He hung out with "2%" bikers and set records for destruction derby. Just one wild, colorful guy with a lot of love and very little good sense. It hit back when he got older in the form of congestive heart failure and just kept getting weaker. Eventually, there just wasn't anything left to give

Aw, sorry to hear about those experiences.
But the fic was lovely - almost cried too. I hope you'll start writing the novel-length story soon, I've been wanting to read something like that for a long time.

*smiles* I'm feeling better this week.
The whole thought on this is that a mistake is not something you can run from. The only real solution is to face what you've done and make what repairs you can. Sometimes, the solution is to admit you are wrong...and others, the only way to save yourself is to forgive the one whose mistake harmed you.
I'm doing a canon review and drafting up an outline.
