I was seriously beginning to worry but thanks to a YouTube video by BaronessNZ (she is my hero!) I actually finished making a book. I know! ::throws up hands::
Aww, thank you! I wanted it to look personal but I also wanted it to look a bit polished, too, so it's nice to hear I got close to that. I really encourage you to give it a try. It's so amazing to see it take shape and then, omg, it's done. Especially for an inexperienced, somewhat craft-challenged person like me. I would love to see any that you make!
Hi V! Always so good to hear from you. I'm happy to hear that being in SF is working out so well for both you and the munchkin.
I'm afraid I made the book look harder to do than it actually was. Once I watched the YouTube video in the previous entry it was like, Oh. That's doable. Sometimes you have to show me the stick before you throw it. ::shrugs:: Making the book for Smilla is just a small thank you - a drop in the bucket - for being the warm and generous person she is. I’m really tickled that she likes it.
I'm getting ready to start two more classes next month. It's slow going and every year they keep adding one more thing so I've given up trying to figure out when I'll be done and now I just put my head down and keep plowing. It's not as bad as I'm making it sound it just feels that way sometimes, you know?
Thanks for the invite! The same invitation extends to you. I love SF and Monterey and the whole area up there. It's so different from southern California - green and busy and full of cool people. ; )

Thank you thank you! I had a whole booklet of paper like that to choose from so it took more than a little while for me to make a decision. I chose those 2 sheets because I like the vivid, dreamlike quality to them and the contrast which is hopefully not too jarring. I'm really looking forward to making more books. It was great experience.

Being a nanny granny keeps me from my usual online life... but it's okay; she's one cute little munchkin =)
Happy to see your gorgeous book! It looks like great fun and I think I'll be adding it to my list of "things to do when I'm able" =)
LOVE yours and Smilla's sweet interaction {big heart}
Also, hope that you are well and still comfortably on the path you've set out for yourself.
Finally, if you're ever up in the SF Bay area? You know that you totally have a place to stay!
love

That me almost snort hot chocolate (made with lactose free milk) out of my nose.
Because, seriously? that is SO true for me too.
Stupid sticks.
You know, I have a whole lot of blather to share, so I'm gonna go to email.
That sounds like a threat... ok, maybe it is =)

Yes. ::nods:: I blame the sticks, too. ::grin::
And as always, I'm looking forward to the e-mail. I have some blather too so maybe we could exchange some?
