I'm taking a break from studying cellular respiration and photosynthesis to gush all over the chemistry between Dean and an angel named Castiel.
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!

I tend to watch (and thoroughly enjoy) this show peripherally but if they keep going like this then those days may be over. Castiel (Misha Collins) puts everyone on their toes the way that John (JDM) did. And despite his stillness he also adds to the emotional richness that the show is taking on. So good all around.
Castiel is making trenchcoats the new superhero cape, don'tcha think?

I haven't thought of this possibility but now that you mentioned it, it is a most feasible idea. I mean, Castiel has been away from humankind for so long, there is a high probability that he is unused to such a sight (AND FROM DEAN GOD) and such foreign emotions.
This is beautiful work. xD

I get the impression that even if angels were privy to us over the last 2,000 years that it was probably from a great distance. Being this close to someone who has been through so much is probably a little unnerving if not overwhelming. Whatever the case is I adore them for giving us so much wonder over.
