I got a flower on Sunday, one of the most gorgeous flowers - just picked from a garden and put in a Dasani water bottle as a vase.  I'm the kind of girl who's way more impressed by a wildflower or a simple flower picked from your backyard than a dozen red roses.  Roses are overrated, and I don't want someone to spend perfectly good money on ( Read more... )

I just have to say that I made the most delicious strawberry smoothie today.  It was incredible!  I used 8 or 9 fresh strawberries, a bunch of crushed ice, some water, a little tiny bit of milk, a packet of Splenda, and a packet (one of those "for 20 oz water bottles") of Crystal Light raspberry lemonade, and a bit of lemon juice.  Oh.  My.  Gosh ( Read more... )

I'm 85% to 90% sure I'm going to do it, this fall.  I'm going to finally, really strike out on my own and see if I can cut it in the world.  I mean.. why not?  Almost everyone I've talked to about the idea thinks I should just go now.  School can wait, plus I can take some general ed classes through independent study or something.       I'm ( Read more... )

A full month becomes one week.  August becomes June.  Plans get changed at the drop of a hat and you realize it doesn't matter in the end anyway.   Right?

I will graduate someday.  "Someday" being December of next year.  It'll be good to just be done when it finally happens.

I decided I want to get married May 12th of 2012.  It's perfect - 3 years from now, so I'll be 25 (which is the age I've always wanted to get married), early-ish May is perfect weather, AND it's a Saturday.   No groom yet, but ( Read more... )

I can't tell if I'm handling this poorly or if I'm handling it well.  Some moments I feel elated with life,  some moments I just have to curl up in to a ball as tight as I can.  Hmm.

We've had so much rain the last 2 weeks.  I work right at the mouth of a canyon between two beautiful mountains, with big huge window that is filled up with the hills in front which are just bursting with bright green.    There's still snow on the actual mountains and the contrast is beautiful.  What are men compared to rocks and mountains?  I love ( Read more... )
