how is it deciding who is "closest" to my friends list? is it looking at my friends friends lists? or something?

You know, I've been trying this off and on all day, and it just keeps timing out.

.... Any chance of you posting the source, so we can run it ourselves?

if you haven't posted it over at lj_nifty, you should (although it'll get a ton of traffic if you do, so i'd make sure any server tweaks were up and okay before then.)

it mapped most of the people in my extended lj friend cloud that i've added, then removed because we weren't a match .. or that i've known about but haven't added yet because we haven't interacted much. definitely a good map of who my friend's friends are. neat stuff.

Most of the people on my results I actually hate & one of them was my old lj name hehe. How does this thing calculate results?
