002 → Offer

Ah, hello.

...I never really know how to start these off. It's odd talking to a little box and then waiting for someone to respond. Would probably be less weird if it were like a cell phone, but...

Uhm, anyways, I want to make an offer. To those of you who've lost your mates. And maybe as something of a security for those of you worried you may lose ( Read more... )

You can do that? Track people?

Yeah... It's... I don't use it a lot. It's not natural.

So what if it's not natural? That's amazing!

You track them from their brainwaves.

[What.]

So is this like a "bitten by a radioactive MRI scanner" thing?

More like a... "swallowed by time and rebuilt by an alien race" thing. [He pauses.] It's a long, sad story. I don't like it. But it's helpful.

Uh ... huh.

[Well, a little weird, but not the strangest thing Terry's heard of.]

If I've got an idea of what their brainwaves are like, yeah. I can sort of just... match it up.

It may be odd for her to think specifically that Rory could track her at any time if he wanted. Though it's very reassuring to Rory, to be quite honest. Not in the creepy way, just in the he's-been-watching-over-her-for-two-thousand-years way.]

I... suppose that's true. [...Rory doesn't know how he feels about calling his little Auton skills a talent. On one hand, it almost makes him more human, but on the other, it feels too much like he's accepting them. He's gone two-thousand years without really accepting the Auton business, he doesn't want to start now.]
