So, I thought this arthritis thing would knock me out of the running for an Army vet scholarship. But, according to the (new?) recruiter, they will most likely set me up with a medical waiver for it. I had cortisone injected into two of my knuckles yesterday. It was weird. On the up-side, they turned black & blue so I can tell people that I punched out some huge guy!

At least until I get rid of this, huh?
Parrot games are still going well. I'm going to try to get to the "next step" as it were with one of the macaws next week. I'd like her to step onto a piece of PVC so we can carry her around. So, Levi is off in Iowa. Which is, objectively, great. However, I miss my man, dammit!! /pout. My first summer class starts tomorrow, as does his internship. Wish us both luck! Well, yeah, that's what I've got. Oh, and I can't wait to get started landscaping my place. It'll be great I tell you, great!

Over the weekend, I think I fell in love with San Antonio a little. Don't be jealous, Levi! Granted I was only there for a day and a half and I didn't see much of the city at all...I really liked it. So, of all the things that might merit an update to my oft-neglected journal, I think I stumbled upon one today.

I broke my nose.

To be fair, the horse broke my nose, actually. But the result is still my nose being broken. So now I get to wear a *very* attractive nose brace for a week and a half.
