fold forming
learned a cool technique the other week called "fold forming". kinda like folding Damascus in blacksmithing... unlike blacksmithing, very quick results. while these exp's are not mine (my camera is on the fritz) the results are really similar. These are exp's of only one type of folding, forged then rolled though the mill.

keys--FEEL THE POWER
its amazing how I just recvied my Lab Tech keys at school. I have been a sculpture tech for 2 quarters now, and I only need 4 keys to do my job. Welding room, Tool cage, a building sub master, and a lock to the big double doors to the machine yard and to let the 10ton monorail be used. thats it. nothing too special ( Read more... ) -

so took the car back to the shop again because I can't fix the fucker right now. I have tried everything but burning it. While theraputic, my insurance might get suspicious...I do well during the school week riding the 4mi each way to school and back, although riding in 45mph winds btw is kinda hard. so its been a while. long while. I've been so busy with graduation, applying to MFA programs, and work here. Every day my planner is pretty full. I have been pumping out work like a mad man. as much as it is worth it, getting 20 images together for a grad portfolio is a bitch. so many questions....which ones to lead off with, end with, leave out at all. Its amazing how I can have a decent GPA and yet still have to rely on my folio to get me in. I mean shit I made the 4.0 deans list while taking 24 units last quarter and I got turned ( Read more... )
