i'm the mumford and sons pregnant!girl mark anon (which only makes sense...if you've seen the fills for that on too) who is also the first anon who replied to this giving you the beginning of the pregnant!girl eduardo fill. and gosh this is late...i overestimated how much of an attention span i would have during the oscars. anyway, enjoy. ♥
Edi was supposed to be a male. It's never said in her house, but she knows it's the truth. She has to work harder than everyone to gain something simple like affection from her father. Some girls are daddy's little girl, all of her girlfriends were daddy's little girls. Edi thinks she could have found herself being a prostitute with a crack addiction and her father would only care because it would be bad publicity for him.
Maybe if she hadn't thought Harvard would be the one thing that would win his affections for good, none of this would have happened. Maybe she wouldn't have ever even met Mark Zuckerberg, the asshole who for some reason, she cares (cared) about. If that didn't confirm that she

It's fascinating to see Eduardo's daddy issues in this twist--the way she's been disappointed by the men in her life and how she tries to take back some sense of power over her life.

i'm glad you find it fascinating. i wanted to keep that particular aspect the most and since she's a girl, I can just see them being a little worse just because daddy issues are sometimes worse when it's a female dealing with them as opposed to a male dealing with them.

it's...debatable if they will. i at least have mentions of them planned (since exploring her daddy issues is something i cannot avoid) but as far them actually causing physical trouble, well, i haven't entire decided.

i should have mentioned this at the beginning, but the timeframe in the film that we get for the depositions is about three days from what i've heard and with this fic...that timeframe doesn't work at all so i'm kind of making that a little longer. so just...keep that in mind.People don't ever give Mark credit for being able to read the actions of people. The man created Facebook, it's a safe bet to say that he knows a thing or two about how people interact and act in general. Edi herself sometimes fails to grasp how much Mark can read people just because he doesn't ever act like he can. Of course, maybe that is why he acts worse sometimes, Edi never really thought about it in depth

Love how you trace Edi's heels to the desire to please her father, but it becomes a part of her style. And how Mark can be an asshole, but he's not an idiot.
She signed away shares and he signed away the privilege of knowing the reason. She doesn't know who signed away more.
This is such a great and painful summary of their situation.

I love you for noticing that I did both of those things. And I really adore you saying that about that line since it was an addition I made right before I posted.
