Caught some Oscars last night, around drinking a chocolate stout and paying more attention to the last night of the Colin Firth P&P on PBS.

The only thing I'm really disappointed about is not getting to see Diablo Cody's million dollar shoes, but now that I've seen them, I don't blame her. Nothing that costs a million dollars should be so classy/ ( Read more... )

I am choosing to react to getting a B on one of the best papers I've ever written by focusing immediately on my other homework, considering the perspective of the teacher, planning to look at the paper for what it is rather than the projection of unqualified awesome that I *think* it is, and *then* deciding he's a prick ( Read more... )

• For Christmas, in part, I got the America's Test Kitchen cookbook for this year. KT got it autographed for me, too; it's wonderful. As much as I love it for what it is, the best part was after she gave it to me and she dished about getting the autographs and how everybody hates Christopher Kimball b/c he's a huge prick.
