I know they are expecting another record year for hurricanes this year and have said to be on the look-out for more severe storms and such out in the waters but is this just a "fluke" year for storms on land? Well, Waco seems to be getting "somewhat" back to normal, if Waco was ever normal to begin with, after this past's weekend tornado. Watching a documentary from one of the TV stations here in town last night, radar showed a definite "hook" pattern on it and the NWS has comfrimed a 2.6 mile length, a 150 foot wide with 115 mph winds damage area of ( Read more... )

Well, anyway, we had a huge t-storm here a couple wks ago... we had hail for a few minutes, and like someone said below, it looked like it was snowing. There was also quite a bit of damage to some places as a result of this storm... there were roofs practically blown off, signs blown over, and I don't know what in all. ( Read more... )

It has been incredibly stormy here in central IN. Earlier today, we experienced a tremendous hailstorm which last about 15 minutes; the hail got up to about a golf-ball size. It practically looked like it was snowing. We've got another big storm coming through with more hail expected. There has also been several tornado reports. The lightning ( Read more... )

Right on the heels of vendaz... we had some enormous storms late last night. Frequent lightning, large hail, heavy rain. No tornadoes so far, but we'll see. Sounds like there's the potential for more today. Be safe, everybody!
