Last week before school starts, and there are still too many things I said I'd do but haven't. I did make 16 Christmas cards though; I need to make some more.
Here are my craft pics, as promised: ( Finally... )
I love that halter! You did such a marvelous job with it!
Also, a year is nothing in terms of a cross-stitch: I've been working on my orca whale one for a FEW years now, lol :) Your butterfly one turned out marvelous, and I am sufficiently jealous :)
the halter is sooo pretty and blue!! You need a purple one now, to keep in your closet together so they won't be lonely. XD and WOW on that cross stitching!! I should get back to mine, too. It should be fun, provided I can still remember what to do heehee!
Actually it's teal, though yes it's on the bluer side of teal rather than the greener. But I'm totally not against having a purple one = )
(I was considering wearing it so you could see it yesterday, but was worried I wouldn't have time to change out of it when I got home before teaching, so I didn't. But one day!!)
Ooh, what kind of pattern do you have? It takes quite a while to stitch, but the final product is so pretty. I'm sure you still remember what to do - or you can ask me, heehee = )
*squee!* Such pretty crafty pics. They all look so lovely and time consuming. O_o' I didn't know you do cross stitching too. The earthy hues make the butterfly pop so beautifully, I think I could stare at it for quite a while and just take it all in. And the dyed spinning work is awesome. I'm in love with the colors. What do you think you'll make with them?
Very cute halter top. I hope you get to wear it a lot even though the summer is coming to an end. I bet it's comfy. Thank you for the birthday card and wishes. It came today and I cannot tell you how happy it made me after such a craptastic morning. It really cheered me up and reminded me that I haven't e-mailed you in like forever, so I definitely need to do that. *Hugs you tight*
They unfortunately are. I don't do anything but knit outside of the summer because I don't know how to spend only 30 min on it instead of like 3 hours. The butterfly is really pretty in real life too - I wish I had a second one done to send to you! As for the spinning, it's funny, cuz I love spinning colourful rovings, but I don't like knitting with yarns that have too many colours in them. So the yarn is gonna be sitting in my room for a while, lol.
Yay, I'm so glad it didn't take forever to get to you!! *hugs* Oh no, what happened that morning? I hope things are okay on your end. Looking forward to an email from you soon = ) *squishes some more*
*hugs back* Well, that morning I had to go over to job #2 (the one where I'm cooking at) and owner lady makes a huge scene to my friend S about how she never said we were to stop lunches (it's the end of the season so we stop doing them normally) and how she can't afford to pay us for standing around and doing nothing until people come. Then S points out that the only days we have people are the days I work. So then she asks what I do while waiting for people and I respond, "All the prep for it." Makes her blink at me then takes S to the office with her, bitches her out then comes back out and storms off. S then tells me that since I get so many customer maybe (this is crazy lady's idea) we switch days and I can work on the garden that has been going to shit since I've been doing all of the cooking and S comes in only to plate it up when we have customers after 6 pm, on the weekends and league days, since she's back at college. So I'm now mad that she wants to add yet another thing for me to do and S tells me she's about two cm from

Ooh, orca - I didn't know you (and so many other people!) cross-stitch. How undone is it?

Your cross stitch is GORGEOUS! Since I used to do cross stitch, I can appreciate the work that went into it. You did a great job. It's beautiful.

I faintly recall that you were working on a GW cross-stitch last year, I think? Did you finish it? I'd love to see it!

The pattern isn't very detailed, but I still think it turned out nicely.
